Job summary

Newport Restaurant Group is seeking a Housekeeping Manager for Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI. You will lead the entire Housekeeping Department, including laundry and public areas, ensuring cleanliness and maintaining inventory and staffing to meet standards.

You will recruit, hire, schedule, and train staff, oversee payroll records, and coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance to guarantee timely room readiness and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible to work days, nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Prior leadership experience required.

• Ensure all staff complete required training, including orientation, safety, and regulatory certifications.
• Plan, assign, and inspect all housekeeping work to ensure company standards are consistently met or exceeded.
• Maintain accurate inventory, order supplies, and monitor labor and supply expenses to stay within budget.
• Work closely with Front Desk, Maintenance, and management teams to ensure smooth operations, timely room readiness, and issue resolution.

Castle Hill Inn is looking for a Housekeeping Manager to join the team.

Nestled on 40 acres overlooking the southwestern corner of Narragansett Bay, Castle Hill Inn – a Relais & Chateaux hotel – is a coastal haven where guests come to relax and rejuvenate against a spectacular New England backdrop, a location that is second to none. About the Position:

In the Housekeeping Manager role, you will be responsible for the management of the entire Housekeeping Department, including laundry and public areas. This person ensures cleanliness of all internal and external areas of the resort through daily inspections. This position is also responsible for departmental ordering and inventory as well as maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
