Job summary

Nine Orchard, a luxury boutique hotel in New York, seeks a Housekeeping Manager to lead daily operations, uphold exceptional cleanliness, and elevate the guest experience through attentive service.

You will supervise Room Attendants and Housemen, coordinate with Front Desk and Engineering, train staff, maintain inventory, and ensure standards across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of housekeeping leadership experience in luxury or boutique hotels.
• High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Strong organizational and people-management skills.
• Familiarity with ALICE or similar task-management systems preferred.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Review daily Front Desk and Housekeeping pass-ons; follow up on guest requests and tasks in ALICE.
• Open and assign guest rooms, review reports (Arrivals, OOO/OOS, Tasks, Amenity, House Status).
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings covering occupancy, VIPs, events, and safety.
• Inspect guest rooms, hallways, closets, public areas, and staircases for cleanliness.
• Assign daily projects and priorities for Room Attendants and Housemen; meet productivity goals.
• Review inventory levels in storage areas and supply closets.
• Manage Lost & Found, DND logs, discrepancy reports, and daily housekeeping documentation.
• Coach and train staff; uphold department standards.
• Communicate with Front Desk and Engineering to resolve issues promptly.
• Support special projects, events, and General Clean programs.
