The Whitefish Riverfront Hotel is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead and motivate the housekeeping team, ensuring rooms are cleaned and maintained to Averill Hospitality standards. You will train staff, assign daily tasks, manage schedules and payroll, and uphold safety and quality policies across front and back of house.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

A Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the training andsupervision of the housekeeping team’s daily tasks including, but not limitedto, assigning housekeeping boards for team members at the start of each shift,conducting stand up meetings for optimal communication among the team, andensuring all areas of the hotel are cleaned and maintained according to AverillHospitality Standards (including front of house and back of house).

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct regular department meetings to ensure strongcommunication among staff.

Assign "boards" to housekeeping team at the beginning ofeach day.

Oversee daily tasks of Housekeepers, Housemen, LaundryAttendant and Breakfast Attendant.

Assisting housekeeping in clean rooms.

Creates and implements SOPs for quality insurance for theHousekeeping Department.

Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure they are ready forcheck-in.

Create employee schedules and handles payroll for thehousekeeping department.

Order supplies and keep track of inventory for theHousekeeping Department.

Reports necessary maintenance issues to Front Office so awork order is made.

Follows departmental policies and procedures.

Follows all safety and sanitation policies.

Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimumservice to guests.

Operating Housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, mops, maidcart, etc.

Ability and willingness to adhere to all Averill Hospitalitypolicies and ensure departmental personnel compliance.

Must maintain a positive influence in the community andpositive relations with area vendors.

NOTICE:

Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to and including 20 lbs.may be required. The hospitality business functions seven (7) days aweek, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business,and a hospitable service atmosphere must be always projected.

SCHEDULE

The Housekeeping Attendant position is expected to normallykeep a 5 day a week schedule, 40 hours per week can be expected, however it candepend on the business needs of the hotel.
