Miyako Hybrid Hotel Plano seeks a hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead the opening of its luxury property in Plano, TX. You will shape cleanliness standards, train teams, and implement procedures to ensure flawless guest spaces and public areas.

You will recruit, train, and motivate staff, optimize PMS/HMS usage and office tools, and collaborate with Rooms, Engineering, and Front Office to guarantee readiness for opening and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience.
• Pre-opening hotel experience is highly desired.
• Experience leading and motivating teams in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Experience configuring and using PMS/HMS and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, and opening of all housekeeping operations.
• Develop policies, procedures, standards, and checklists aligned with luxury hospitality expectations.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop housekeeping staff for consistency and guest service.
• Establish room cleaning procedures, inspection processes, and QA programs.

Your New Role

As our Housekeeping Manager you’ll orchestrate the daily spectacle of the Housekeeping department, setting the stage for an environment where clean lines and welcoming spaces are the norm. Your mission? To ensure that every corner of our hotel—from guest rooms to public areas—meets the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and comfort.

What You’ll Accomplish

Pre-Opening & Opening Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development, and successful opening of all Housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas are prepared to meet brand and service standards.
• Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, standards, and operating checklists aligned with luxury hospitality expectations.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop housekeeping team members to deliver consistent cleanliness, efficiency, and guest service.
• Establish room cleaning procedures, inspection processes, productivity standards, and quality assurance programs prior to opening.
• Assist with the setup and organization of housekeeping supplies, linen rooms, guest amenities, equipment, and departmental inventory controls.
• Configure and implement housekeeping technology systems, including housekeeping management platforms, room status procedures, and communication workflows.
• Partner with Rooms Division, Engineering, Front Office, and Operations teams to ensure room readiness and opening preparation.
• Coordinate pre-opening deep cleans mock inspections, operational simulations, and readiness reviews.
• Develop staffing plans, schedules, labor standards, and daily operational procedures to support opening and ongoing operations.
• Establish relationships with vendors and oversee ordering processes for housekeeping supplies, amenities, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, OSHA requirements, safety procedures, and environmental sustainability practices.
• Monitor post-opening performance, guest feedback, and operational metrics to identify improvements and enhance efficiency.
• Support the implementation of training programs focused on service excellence, attention to detail, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

• Minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience required; preferably within a full-service hotel and Japanese environment.
• Previous role as a Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager.
• Pre-opening hotel experience is highly desired.
• Leading and motivating teams, managing operations with a keen eye for detail, and a passion for providing guests with an unparalleled hospitality experience.
• Demonstrated ability to configure, implement, and optimize technology systems, including PMS, HMS and Microsoft Office applications, while effectively managing operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
