Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team. You will oversee room attendants, housepersons and inspectors, conduct daily and monthly meetings, and ensure standards are met.

Responsibilities include scheduling, payroll corrections, and maintaining budgeting/inspection scores. You will communicate clearly with staff and guests, remain available to work regularly, and support co-workers as a team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience managing others in a hotel housekeeping setting.
• Must be able to communicate in English; Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff of room attendants, housepersons and inspectors, conduct meetings, review performance, and address deficiencies.
• Schedule staff based on occupancy and projects; manage payroll records and related corrections.
• Monitor budgeting and forecasting by reviewing department expenses and inspection scores.
• Provide clear directions to staff in writing and verbally; maintain attendance and regular work availability.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain a professional appearance and conduct.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing Each Day

Oversees staff of room attendants, housepersons, and inspectors by conducting daily and monthly meetings, inspecting staff work and giving guidance so that deficiencies are corrected and standards are met. Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline when appropriate.

Arranges staff work schedules, determining days off, ensuring staffing levels based on occupancy and/or any current or anticipated projects. Submits payroll records, correcting errors to insure pay is on time and includes any purchased rooms, extra cleanup, cots, etc.

Maintains and reviews computerized records for budgeting and forecasting department expenses as well as inspection scores for housekeepers.

Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear directions to staff. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Does this sound like you?

You have at least 1 year of experience managing others at a hotel Housekeeping office setting. Must have the ability to communicate in English and preferably Spanish. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
