Job summary

The Marriott Colorado Springs, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead daily housekeeping operations, supervise rooms staff, and participate in Manager on Duty coverage.

You will inspect rooms, coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance, train associates, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards while maintaining scheduling and labor costs.

Qualifications

• A 2 or 4 year degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 1 year of previous supervisory experience in a housekeeping or related hospitality environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Ability to function in a Manager on Duty capacity as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the housekeeping department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
• Inspecting guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Assist in completing the weekly housekeeping schedule and manage labor costs.
• Interviewing applicants, orienting new hires, and conducting ongoing training for housekeeping staff.
• Coach and counsel associates to improve performance and uphold standards.
• Promote teamwork and maintain high associate morale across the department.
• Perform Manager on Duty shifts as assigned and serve as senior leader on property when needed.
