Job summary

Generation Hospitality Group in Lincoln, NE is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations and support the Housekeeping Manager. This hands-on, hourly role involves training staff, coordinating schedules, inspecting rooms, and stepping in as leader when the manager is away.

You will lead by example, participate in cleaning duties, uphold safety and sanitation standards, and work weekends as needed to meet operational demands.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel, resort, or similar environment.
• Supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Ability to train, mentor, and motivate staff to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Strong attention to detail with high cleanliness and organization standards.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as required.
• Physically demanding tasks including standing for long periods, lifting, bending, and carrying supplies.
• Effective English communication, both verbal and written.
• Eligibility to work and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations, ensuring areas are cleaned and maintained to standards.
• Train, coach, and develop housekeeping staff on procedures, safety, and service standards.
• Assist with creating and communicating staff schedules, including weekend coverage.
• Serve as the lead when the Housekeeping Manager is away, handling operational decisions.
• Clean guest rooms and public areas as needed, ensuring efficiency and thoroughness.
• Inspect rooms and public areas for cleanliness and safety, provide feedback and follow-up.
• Organize supplies, storage areas, and carts for an orderly, safe environment.
• Monitor inventory of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies; report replenishment needs.
• Address guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments for smooth daily operations and special projects.
• Assist in onboarding new housekeeping team members and ongoing training.
