• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare or similar settings.

As a Housekeeping Laundry Aide at Merit House Rehab, you will be responsible for ensuring the sanitation and cleanliness of healthcare facilities by handling laundry services and performing janitorial duties with precision and care. Responsibilities

• Operate laundry equipment to wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, uniforms, and patient clothing according to safety protocols and sanitation standards.
• Perform cleaning tasks across healthcare facilities, including dusting, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and waste removal to uphold strict sanitation guidelines.
• Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering to OSHA regulations and environmental services best practices.
• Use proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of linens, supplies, and cleaning equipment to prevent injury.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor care procedures using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
• Follow infection prevention protocols by sanitizing high-touch areas regularly and ensuring all cleaning supplies are used correctly.
• Document laundry cycles and cleaning activities accurately while adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare facilities or similar environments is highly preferred.
