Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a conscientious housekeeping inspector to uphold AAA Four-Diamond standards. You will conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, ensuring cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance meet brand expectations.

This role requires flexible availability, strong customer service, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. You will support daily housekeeping operations and uphold safety and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional appearance is required.
  • Must have the ability to respond to visual and verbal cues.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces, and perform the physical duties of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and frequent bending, reaching, and moving throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to ensure compliance with AAA Four-Diamond cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards.
  • Reinforce departmental standards by modeling professionalism, service excellence, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment that promotes engagement, accountability, and performance.
  • Support daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning occupied rooms, preparing arrivals, deep cleaning, and special projects.
  • Assist Room Attendants in meeting productivity and quality expectations as needed.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, cleanliness concerns, and service recovery needs, ensuring resolution and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure housekeeping areas, storage rooms, and laundry facilities are clean, organized, secure, and compliant with standards.
  • Submit and track maintenance work orders; communicate deficiencies to Engineering and monitor timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate room status records, including stayovers, checkouts, out-of-order rooms, and daily logs.
  • Monitor linen, supply, and chemical inventory levels; ensure proper handling, storage, and participation in inventory processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including OSHA, chemical handling, PPE usage, key control, and security protocols.
  • Identify and report safety hazards or unusual activity; support emergency response procedures.
  • Perform any additional job-related duties as assigned.
