Job summary

Fontainebleau Miami Beach is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead guest room cleaning and servicing of assigned areas, supporting the Executive Housekeeper as required. You will organize housekeeping crews, ensure reporting of work, coordinate with Engineering, monitor performance, and implement training and incentives.

A high school diploma and at least one year of supervisory experience are preferred; bilingual ability is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Organize personnel into housekeeping crews capable of cleaning all guest rooms and other appropriate spaces.

• Coordinate with other departments e.g. Engineering to complete goals.
• Monitor performance of subordinate managers and supervisors and provide weekly feedback.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Communicate effectively and establish positive relationships with staff and guests.

The Housekeeping Manager assumes primary responsibility for guest room cleaning and servicing of assigned areas. Assist the Executive Housekeeper as required.

Examples of Duties include but are not limited to the following

• Organize personnel into housekeeping crews capable of cleaning all guest rooms and other appropriate spaces.


• Ensure the proper and systematic reporting of work completed when appropriate


• Ensure the orderly flow of information to and from the assigned personnel.


• Monitor and coordinate Preventative Maintenance Projects


• Coordinate with other departments i.e. Engineering to complete goals.


• Monitor performance of subordinate managers and supervisors and provide a weekly feedback


• Implement training and re-training.


• Execute incentive programs based on productivity and inspections


• Work with union guidelines to ensure effectiveness in the system.


• Perform other related duties as assigned.


• Well organized and demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.


• Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and guests.


• Bilingual is highly desirable.


• Previous relevant experience preferred. One year of supervisory experience is preferred.


• High school education or equivalent.
