Essential Job Functions
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, disposing trash, and servicing guest rooms and public spaces daily.
- Replenish guest room supplies, empty wastebaskets, rearrange furnishings, drapes, and room accessories.
- Provide linen and amenities to guests per the guest room legend.
- Ensure rooms are in uniform arrangement, doors are closed, and rooms are locked after cleaning.
- Note and fulfill special guest requests.
- Unload and check in laundry daily, move laundry to designated areas, and disperse as needed.
- Report damages, hazards, repairs, and suspicious activity.
- Handle lost and found items appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness of public restrooms and high-traffic public spaces like lobby, restaurant areas, elevators, and front driveway.
- Clean corridors, service areas, and sanitize the fitness room.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing proper uniform and name tag.
- Report suspicious activity and know hotel emergency procedures.
- Provide professional, engaging, and friendly service.
- Comply with quality standards and hotel guidelines.
- Assist with delivering newspapers, messages, packages, and amenities.
- Maintain presence during peak traffic periods and greet guests courteously.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in hotel cleaning advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, caring attitude, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, friendly, and professional demeanor with a desire to build a career in hospitality.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical and Mental Demands
- Visual, auditory, and manual dexterity required; ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to maneuver loaded carts and work in noisy, busy environments.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening and obtain necessary licenses.
