Primary Purpose:

The Housekeeping Associate’s main goal is to provide guests with an excellent room experience by delivering friendly, attentive, and timely service, ensuring that guest rooms and public areas meet high cleanliness standards and are well-presented.

Work Performed:

The duties of the Housekeeping Associate include:

• Cleaning and maintaining hotel guest rooms, public areas, and laundry following established protocols, including:
• Removing used and unused linens and towels
• Disinfecting high-touch surfaces and amenities
• Cleaning bathrooms
• Cleaning glass, mirrors, dusting, and polishing furniture and equipment
• Replacing light bulbs
• Making beds with fresh linens
• Replenishing supplies such as glasses, toiletries, and bathroom essentials
• Emptying wastebaskets and transporting trash
• Cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstery, and draperies
• Using approved cleaning chemicals safely
• Operating and maintaining storage closets and carts stocked with linens, towels, and supplies
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in all work areas
• Sorting laundry by color, fabric, and dirt content, using proper cleaning techniques
• Using laundering equipment and chemicals appropriately
• Conducting regular rounds to ensure public areas are disinfected and tidy
• Upholding quality standards based on customer satisfaction metrics and company guidelines
• Training new associates and supporting performance development
• Performing deep cleaning and scheduled maintenance tasks, using power equipment when applicable
• Reporting damages, theft, and lost articles
• Following safety, security, and company policies, and reporting issues or hazards
• Performing any other duties necessary to fulfill the role’s primary purpose.

Qualifications:

Preferred Experience:

• Previous hotel housekeeping or similar cleaning experience
• Customer service experience

Preferred Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs regularly
• Ability to bend, squat repeatedly
• Ability to walk and stand for entire shift

Other:

• Flexible to work day shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
