Job summary

Eataly Flatiron is seeking a Housekeeping Associate to maintain cleanliness across store, restaurant and 24-hour facilities. The role reports to the Retail General Manager and Housekeeping Leads, with duties including dishwashing, stock replenishment and trash removal.

The position requires open availability, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, wet and noisy environment. Base pay is $17 per hour for a part-time role.

Qualifications

• Open availability during operational hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend and squat for up to 8 hours.
• Work in wet floors, extreme temperatures and loud environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains general cleanliness throughout the store including mopping, sweeping and vacuuming.
• Washes and stores dishes, trays, glassware, utensils and small equipment.
• Checks water temperature during dishwashing to ensure proper temperatures.
• Stocks shelves and service stations with restaurant supplies; polishes glassware and silverware.
• Removes trash, recycling and compost from receptacles; cleans and replaces liners.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

The Housekeeping Associate provides constant maintenance and ensures good working conditions of multiple 24-hour facilities including all building, restaurant and retail facilities. Functionally reports to the Retail General Manager and Housekeeping Leads.

• Maintains general cleanliness throughout the store including mopping, sweeping and vacuuming
• Washes and properly stores all dishes, trays, glassware, utensils, cups and small equipment for the department
• Checks water temperature during dishwashing operation to ensure proper temperature
• Stocks shelves, racks and service stations with restaurant supplies: polishes glassware and silverware
• Removes trash, recycling and compost from receptacles throughout the store and kitchens and brings to appropriate receptacle; cleans, sanitizes and replaces liners in receptacles
• Performs other duties as required or assigned
  • Previous stocking, dishwashing or housekeeping experience preferred
  • Sense of urgency

Compensation: The base rate for this position is $17 per hour
