University Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff. Your role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and offices; following infection prevention protocols; and reporting safety concerns.

Job description

University Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and compassionate Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, offices, dining areas, hallways, and other facility areas.

• Dust furniture and equipment; clean windows, beds, fixtures, and other surfaces.

• Empty trash, replenish supplies, and maintain effective odor control.

• Sweep, mop, buff, and clean floors and carpets as assigned.

• Maintain housekeeping equipment, utility rooms, and storage areas in a clean and safe condition.

• Follow infection prevention, safety, and emergency preparedness procedures.

• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns.

• Respect resident rights, privacy, dignity, and property.

• Work cooperatively with other departments to support our residents and facility operations.

What We're Looking For

• Previous housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, hotel, or custodial experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position that involves regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday. Team members must be able to safely perform the physical duties of the position and operate housekeeping equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
