The busy Renaissance by Marriott Baltimore Harbor Place hotel is hiring a Housekeeping Assistant/Supervisor. The Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor supports the Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Manager by overseeing daily cleaning operations, inspecting rooms, and guiding staff to maintain hotel cleanliness and brand standards.

Operations & Scheduling: Open or close the housekeeping/laundry departments, assign daily cleaning tasks to room attendants and housepersons, and sync room status updates with the front desk.

Quality Inspections: Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public spaces to verify they meet property and brand cleanliness standards.

Staff Support & Training: Onboard and train new housekeeping staff, provide ongoing coaching, and track attendance or shift performance.

Inventory & Supplies: Monitor stocks of linens, guest amenities, and cleaning chemicals, reporting shortages or equipment damage to management.

Maintenance & Safety: Coordinate with the engineering or maintenance department to fix broken room fixtures and ensure compliance with safety and OSHA guidelines.

Guest Services: Respond quickly to guest requests, handle special/VIP room setups, and resolve complaints.

Education: High school diploma or GED required; a 2-year or 4-year degree in hospitality or business management is often preferred by major brands.

Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in housekeeping, guest services, or front desk operations, with prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.

Skills: Strong leadership, time management, attention to detail, basic computer/tablet literacy, and effective communication.

Physical Demands: Ability to walk and stand for long periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 25–50 pounds.

Compensation

$16.22 - $17.05 hourly
