Job summary

Journey is seeking a dedicated housekeeping team member in Morgantown, IN to keep resident rooms and common areas clean, sanitized, and safe for residents and staff.

You will perform daily cleaning, manage supplies and equipment, and support the care team while respecting residents’ privacy and infection-control policies. This role offers stable hours, benefits, and the chance to make a real difference in the local community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitization: Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, dust, mop, disinfect surfaces, and manage waste materials.
• Equipment and supplies management: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment; prepare and distribute supply packs and linens as needed.
• Resident-focused support: Respect residents’ privacy and individual needs while following infection control policies and documenting required information.

• Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform daily and deep cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, including dusting, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and managing trash and waste materials.
• Equipment and Supplies Management: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuums and floor buffers, safely and effectively; prepare and distribute supply packs and linens as needed.
• Resident-Focused Support: Practice sensitivity to residents’ privacy and individual needs while adhering to infection control policies and completing all required documentation accurately.
