Job summary

Wesley Homes is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to support residents in a retirement community, including skilled nursing and memory care. You will perform daily housekeeping and laundry, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where residents feel at home.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, respect for residents’ belongings, and a compassionate, service-oriented approach. Physical work is required, with opportunities to grow within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize, clean, vacuum, and maintain public and residential living areas to support a safe and welcoming environment
• Your attention to detail and commitment to care help residents feel safe, comfortable, and respected.
• Make beds, empty waste baskets, and dust to ensure residents feel comfortable in their personal spaces
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver laundry with care and respect for residents’ belongings
• Inventory and maintain supplies, storage areas, and equipment in a secure, safe, and organized manner
• Assist in preparing residential units for new occupants, helping them feel at home from day one

Time Off & Holidays

• We offer a combined paid time off (PTO) policy which incorporates state paid sick leave with company paid time off at an accrual rate of 0.0607 per hour worked, equivalent to 120 hours of PTO at 2,080 hours worked in a year. The PTO accrual rate increases after two years of service and again after five years of service.
• We offer 6 Paid Holidays (8 hours - full time, 6 hours - part-time per event, excluding on-call staff) and 1 Personal Holiday of Choice per year (excluding on-call staff).

The Housekeeping Aide plays an essential role in supporting residents’ comfort, dignity, and well-being by maintaining a clean and welcoming environment throughout the community. This position performs daily housekeeping and laundry services within a retirement community, including skilled nursing, memory care, catered living, assisted living, and independent living. Your work has a direct impact on how residents experience their home—and how they feel living in it.

Salary Range: $17.99 – $26.46 per hour
