Job summary

Hyatt Regency Westlake is seeking a Housekeeping Houseperson to maintain guest rooms and public areas in a clean, orderly condition. You will perform routine cleaning, restock supplies, and assist the Room Attendant to ensure a smooth guest experience.

The role requires a focus on safety with chemicals, attention to detail, and a friendly guest interaction approach. Background checks are required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred
• Background check required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas.
• Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
• Moves/arranges furniture and dusts/polishes furniture, metalwork and equipment.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
• Collects soiled linens for laundering and stores linen supplies in linen closet.
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.
• Refurnishes room with supplies, towels etc. as required.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and disposes of trash.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel.
• Assist Room Attendant with tasks as needed.

Education
