Job summary

Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Boonville, NY is hiring a Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors. This full-time role (37.5 hrs/week) pays $16 per hour with a 7 am to 3 pm schedule.

You will clean resident rooms and common areas, manage supplies, and follow infection control and safety policies. No prior experience required; 6 months in housekeeping or laundry is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required; 6 months housekeeping/laundry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, common areas, and ancillary departments to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Clean windows, doors, mirrors, vents, garbage cans, and other surfaces regularly.
• Vacuum hallways, mop floors, and perform routine housekeeping tasks.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized manner.
• Empty trash and transport waste to designated disposal areas as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and repairs to supervisor.
• Follow infection control, HIPAA, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and trainings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum experience requirement: No experience required; 6 months of housekeeping or laundry experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment
