Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Boonville, NY is hiring a Dietary Aide to join our team. You will help provide high-quality meal service while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

The role supports residents with meals and adheres to dietary guidelines. Highlights include a full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week), 6 am - 2 pm shift, and a pay rate of $16/hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals according to resident dietary needs, portion guidelines, and established meal schedules.
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and distribution of meals, snacks, beverages, and nourishments.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, dishes, utensils, and workspaces.
• Operate dietary equipment safely and accurately record food, beverage, and equipment temperatures.
• Assist with inventory, stocking, receiving, and proper storage of food and supplies.
• Transport meal carts and food trucks throughout the facility in a safe and timely manner.
• Accommodate resident preferences and special dietary requests whenever possible.
• Follow food safety, infection control, HIPAA, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
• Report equipment issues, hazards, accidents, and resident concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

• Ability to provide courteous and professional service to residents, families, and staff
• Dependable, organized, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
