Elderwood at Amherst is looking for a full-time Housekeeping Aide to help keep resident rooms, common areas, and offices clean in a patient-centered environment. The 7am-3pm shift includes weekend rotation and requires attention to safety and infection control.

You will assist with moving belongings, cleaning and disinfecting, and ensuring proper storage of cleaning supplies while upholding health standards to support residents' wellbeing and a safe home-like atmosphere.

Qualificações

• Minimum 16 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Custodial, janitorial, housekeeping and/or laundry experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate level or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain cleanliness of general areas and assigned rooms of residents.
• Help move personal belongings of residents and clean and disinfect floor, furniture, bed and bathroom according to procedures when a resident is discharged or transferred.
• Follow safety rules and maintain vigilance concerning fire regulations and hazards as stated in procedures.
• Practice infection control principles in cleaning methods and personal hygiene.
• Keep cleaning compounds and hazardous substances stored properly for resident and staff protection.
• Collect and dispose of trash and other refuse in a manner that prevents disease transmission and does not create a nuisance or fire hazard.

Overview

Help us care for our residents by providing a clean, neat, and safe environment. Elderwood at Amherst is searching for a full-time and Housekeeping Aides. 7am-3pm shift available, including weekend rotation.

Housekeeping team members assist with ensuring the health and wellbeing of our residents by providing housekeeping support. This individual is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all facility areas, including but not limited to, resident rooms, common areas and offices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of general areas and assigned rooms of residents.

• Help move personal belongings of residents and clean and disinfect floor, furniture, bed and bathroom according to accepted procedures when a resident is discharged or transferred to another room.

• Follow safety rules, and where applicable, maintain vigilance concerning fire regulations and hazards as stated in procedures.

• Practice infection control principles in cleaning methods and personal hygiene.

• Keep cleaning compounds and hazardous substances stored properly for the protection of residents and staff.

• Collect and dispose of trash and other refuse in such a manner that prevents the transmission of disease and does not create a nuisance or fire hazard, nor a breeding place for insects and rodents.
