Chattanooga Health and Rehab Center in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a dependable Housekeeping Aide to join our skilled nursing team. You’ll maintain a sanitary, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, restrooms, offices, lounges, hallways, therapy areas, and common areas; performing routine and emergency cleaning; and supporting basic maintenance tasks while following infection-prevention procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience (healthcare experience a plus).
• Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks safely.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitary environment throughout the facility.
• Clean resident rooms, restrooms, offices, lounges, hallways, therapy areas, and common spaces.
• Perform emergency cleaning as needed.
• Dust, disinfect, and polish surfaces, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
• Sweep, mop, disinfect, and maintain floors; assist with carpet cleaning and floor care.
• Replace light bulbs, clean vents, remove lint from dryers, and support basic maintenance tasks.
• Keep outdoor areas tidy, including entrances, patios, and walkways.
• Replenish soap, towels, and other supplies.
• Assist with room readiness for new admissions and discharges.
• Follow infection-prevention procedures, including cleaning isolation rooms.
• Ensure equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
• Respond to environmental service requests from residents and staff with professionalism and courtesy.
