Job summary

Promises/The Right Step in Houston, TX is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary environment across our behavioral health facilities. You will assist with preparing special events and support housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, replenishing supplies, and maintaining equipment. CPR/First Aid certification is required; one year of housekeeping experience is preferred. Benefits include a 401(k), PTO, and medical/dental/vision coverage.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in a similar facility.
• CPR/First Aid certification required; if not certified, obtain within state-mandated time frame.

Responsibilities

• Clean client rooms and other areas daily, remove trash, change bed linens, sanitize surfaces.
• Replenish supplies and linens in client rooms as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping carts and equipment in clean, working condition and store properly after shift.
• Ensure proper sanitation of all equipment as required.
• Follow PPE and safety precautions as required.
• Be available for alternate evening and weekend schedules as needed.

Position Summary

The Housekeeper maintains a sanitary, safe, and clean environment and enhances the appearance of the facility. Additionally, the Housekeeper will assist with preparing special events.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean client rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Replenish supplies and/or linen in client rooms as necessary or designated.
• Maintain housekeeping carts and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.
• Ensure proper sanitation of all equipment, as required.
• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment techniques, as required.
• Available for alternate, evening and weekend schedules, and shifts may be required to meet client needs, state and regulatory agency requirements and business necessities.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with current and former clients, client family members, and referral sources.
• Comply with the company’s code of conduct.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience:

• A minimum of 1 (one) year experience in housekeeping in a similar facility, preferred.

• CPR/First Aid Certification is required for this position. If not CPR/First Aid certified at time of hire, certification must be obtained within the state mandated time frame after first day of employment.
