Job summary

The Recovery Village is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team in Houston, TX. The role maintains a sanitary, safe, and clean environment and supports special event preparation.

You will handle daily cleaning of client rooms, stocking supplies, and ensuring equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of housekeeping experience in a similar facility and CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it within required time frames.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification is required or must be obtained within state-mandated time frame after hire.
• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in a similar facility preferred.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards in a healthcare environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication with clients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean client rooms and other assigned areas daily, including trash removal, changing linens, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Replenish supplies and/or linen in client rooms as necessary.
• Maintain housekeeping carts and equipment in clean, working condition and store properly after shifts.
• Ensure proper sanitation of all equipment and common areas.
• Follow standard precautions and use PPE as required.
• Work with flexible schedules including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries with clients and staff and comply with conduct policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Housekeeper maintains a sanitary, safe, and clean environment and enhances the appearance of the facility. Additionally, the Housekeeper will assist with preparing special events.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean client rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Replenish supplies and/or linen in client rooms as necessary or designated.
• Maintain housekeeping carts and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.
• Ensure proper sanitation of all equipment, as required.
• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment techniques, as required.
• Available for alternate, evening and weekend schedules, and shifts may be required to meet client needs, state and regulatory agency requirements and business necessities.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with current and former clients, client family members, and referral sources.
• Comply with the company’s code of conduct.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience:

• A minimum of 1 (one) year experience in housekeeping in a similar facility, preferred.

• CPR/First Aid Certification is required for this position. If not CPR/First Aid certified at time of hire, certification must be obtained within the state mandated time frame after first day of employment.
