Job summary

Cotter House Worthington in Columbus, OH, is seeking a maintenance/housekeeping team member to keep a clean, safe environment for residents and staff. The role reports to the Maintenance Director and supports daily operations.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms and common areas, assisting with resident laundry, helping during mealtimes, and ensuring resident safety. High school or equivalent is preferred; prior housekeeping experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Description Of Opportunity

Primary Job Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, staff and guests at Cotter House Worthington.

• This position reports to the Maintenance Director
• Perform daily duties as assigned to clean the community including resident rooms and all common areas
• Assist in resident laundry
• Ensure safety of residents in the neighborhood
• Assist with mealtimes when needed

Essential Functions

• Must be able to communicate and function in an interdisciplinary team.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, and move frequently during working hours. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. floor to waist, lift 10 lbs. waist to shoulder, life and carry 40 lbs. and push/pull 40 lbs.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.

Educational Requirements

• Highschool or equivalent (preferred)

Work Experience

• Experience in housekeeping services is preferred but not required.
