About the Role

We are seeking a Housekeeper to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis, working approximately 10 hours per week. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of Walmer Castle & Gardens to a high standard, ensuring a quality visitor experience and proper care of the site and its contents.

Key Responsibilities

1. Undertake presentation cleaning of visitor and staff facilities
2. Perform routine cleaning of the historic property
3. Follow specific cleaning protocols for historic objects
4. Clean the education centre regularly
5. Report maintenance issues promptly
6. Check the site regularly for safety hazards and take appropriate actions
7. Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards
8. Report accidents and incidents appropriately

The role includes covering holiday cottage housekeeping for approximately 5 weeks per year (additional pay).
