Job description

* Daily responsibilities include the cleaning of areas within assignment such as entryways, entry lounges, restrooms, stairwells, hallways, floor lounges, study rooms, laundry areas, student suite (bathrooms), student suite (vacuuming suite living room) and detail projects within residential areas as assigned. During the summer months, daily assignment and buildings worked in change frequently as the need arises.* Daily communication with housekeeping supervisor is crucial to relay any issues concerning an assignment, student related concern, a building or furniture issue or the need for supplies and equipment.* Report all maintenance issues that are observed within the resident areas by calling the Residential Life Center or Facilities customer service; report any suspicious person to Campus Police; follow the rules and regulations of WashU in St. Louis.* Perform other duties as assigned.* Up to 22 days of vacation, 10 recognized holidays, and sick time.* Competitive health insurance packages with priority appointments and lower copays/coinsurance.* Take advantage of our free Metro transit U-Pass for eligible employees.* WashU provides eligible employees with a defined contribution (403(b)) Retirement Savings Plan, which combines employee contributions and university contributions starting at 7%.* WashU covers the cost of tuition for you and your family, including dependent undergraduate-level college tuition up to 100% at WashU and 40% elsewhere after seven years with us.Washington University in St. Louis' collective success is significantly attributed to the passion and outstanding efforts of our community.
