Job summary

Avera Granite Falls Health Care Center is seeking a PRN Housekeeper for the Day Shift. The role focuses on maintaining clean patient rooms, offices, lounges and hallways to support a safe, welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Position Highlights

Monday-Sunday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM. “as-needed” Housekeeping role requiring flexible scheduling, Weekend or holiday availability, The ability to adapt quickly to shifting department needs without guaranteed weekly hours.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse’s stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

What you will do

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse’s stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.
• Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.
• Maintain good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

• High School or GED Equivalent
• One to three months related experience
