Job summary

Avera Granite Falls Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services teammate to maintain a clean and safe environment across patient rooms, offices, lounges, and common areas. The role is 0.8 FTE with a Day Shift, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, and includes working every other weekend and some holidays.

You will dust, mop, vacuum, stock supplies, and support a patient-centered care setting. Preferred qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• One to three months related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working areas including patient rooms, offices, nurse’s stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, elevators and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and trash disposal.
• Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.).
• Maintains stock on cleaning carts with wet and dry supplies.
• Maintains good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and deliver linens.

A Brief Overview

What you will do

• May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
