Summary

• Cleans and services facility building areas, moves furniture, equipment and supplies around the facility. Performs a variety of Environmental Services duties to maintain the facility in an orderly and sanitary condition.

Responsibilities

• Performs all cleaning, floor care and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisor.
• Utilizes cleaning chemicals properly and safely in accordance with department guidelines.
• Performs related services, such as bed moves, changing mattresses, stocking supplies, etc.
• Maintains high standards and works steadily at an efficient pace to achieve high QA scores.
• Exercises good judgment around patients and visitors.
• Interacts hospitably, cheerfully and supportively with staff, patients, visitors and colleagues.
• Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas in good condition and respects hospital property.
• Responds rapidly to emergencies, spills, and other needs.
• Accepts supervision and strives to maintain a safe working environment.
• Takes initiative in service and responds to needs.
• Assists colleagues as necessary.

Minimum Education or Experience

• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
• 1+ year of environmental or related experience in a hospital or college environment.
