Job summary

Mountain Youth Academy, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a part-time housekeeper to help maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe healthcare environment in accordance with infection control standards and hospital policies. You will clean patient rooms and public areas, sanitize high-touch surfaces, restock supplies, and use cleaning chemicals safely per OSHA guidelines.

• Must be able to read/understand English in written and verbal material.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and public areas.
• Sanitize high-touch surfaces throughout the building.
• Restock supplies such as soaps, paper products, and trash bags.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely per OSHA and hospital guidelines.
• Follow proper hand hygiene and PPE procedures.

This role requires a successful background check, fingerprinting and employment verification.

Mountain Youth Academy is centrally located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We are a 120-bed residential treatment facility and assist in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues for our young adolescent patients.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe healthcare environment in accordance with infection control standards and hospital policies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and public areas
• Properly sanitize high-touch surfaces throughout the building
• Replenish supplies such as soaps, paper products, and trashbags
• Use cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment safely according to OSHA and hospital guidelines.
• Follow proper hand hygiene and personal protective equipment
