Job summary

Ecumen Brooks in Minnesota is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeper to maintain clean, sanitary, and attractive living areas for residents. You will support a safe, organized environment for staff and residents, aligning with our mission as a nonprofit senior living provider.

The role runs 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 24 hours per week with no weekends or holidays. Starting pay ranges from $17.50 to $19.50 per hour, plus benefits such as dental, vision, and retirement matching.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Follow safety rules and facility policies (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning tasks per community policies and standards.
• Sweeps, vacuums, dusts, washes, waxes, sanitizes; moves furniture as needed.
• Keeps areas safe; reports maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follows regulatory compliance standards.
• Maintains supplies; reports needs to supervisor.
• Assists residents as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Housekeeping Assistant is responsible for maintaining Ecumen facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly and attractive condition. This position is responsible for providing a pleasant living environment for residents and an organized, safe working environment for staff.

Schedule:

Part-Time. 7a-3:30p. 24 hours per week. No weekends or holidays!

Pay:

The targeted pay range for this job is $17.50-$19.50 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with community policies and department standards.
2. Sweeps, vacuums, dusts, washes, waxes, scours and sanitizes areas as assigned. Moves furniture and equipment to clean behind or under as necessary.
3. Maintains all assigned areas in a safe manner. Reports any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor or member of the leadership team.
4. Follows all regulatory compliance standards.
5. Maintains equipment and supply levels as needed. Reports supply/equipment needs to supervisor.
6. Assists with any resident need, as applicable.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous housekeeping experience
• Previous experience working with seniors
