Job summary

Avera Marshall Hospital in Marshall, MN is seeking a housekeeping associate to maintain a clean and neat environment in patient rooms, lounges, hallways, and work areas. This position requires working every other weekend and every other holiday.

You will perform dusting, washing, mopping, vacuuming, restocking supplies, and handling linens while maintaining good customer relations. High School or GED and 1–3 months related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to work the hours specified including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area.
• Participates in all cleaning activities (dusting, washing, mopping, vacuuming, etc.).
• Keeps assigned area stocked with supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.).
• Maintains stock on cleaning carts with wet and dry supplies.
• Maintains good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and deliver linens.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

What You Will Do

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.
• Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.
• Maintain good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience
