Job summary

Colonial Downs Group LLC is seeking an EVS Supervisor to provide supervisory support to the facilities leadership team for the EVS department's daily operations. Compensation starts at $16.00 per hour.

You will train EVS Attendants, coordinate tasks with the Facilities Supervisor, and ensure safety and compliance across labeling, storage, and chemical handling. This role requires standing, long hours, and occasional night/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to multitask in a high-volume hospitality environment.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and trains EVS Attendants, ensuring tasks meet company expectations.
• Collaborates with Facilities Supervisor to create tasks and checklists.
• Leads department pre-shift briefings and assigns work per Facilities Manager guidance.
• Ensures OSHA and Hazcom compliance, maintains MSD sheets.
• Ensures proper labeling, storage and safety of equipment and chemicals.
• Receives equipment and supplies and distributes them efficiently.
• Maintains organized storage areas and monitors equipment condition.
• Resolves issues within authority and escalates beyond when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for supervisory support to the facilities leadership team for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the EVS department.

Compensation: $16.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports and trains EVS Attendants in various tasks, ensuring the results meet and/or exceed company expectations.
• Works with Facilities Supervisor to create tasks and checklists.
• Holds department pre-shift briefings and delegate job assignments as per guidance of the Facilities Manager.
• Ensures operation is OSHA and Hazcom compliant, including maintenance of the departmental MSD Sheets.
• Ensure all equipment and chemicals are safely labeled, stored, and team members are fully educated on use/hazards.
• Receives equipment and supplies and coordinates distribution and storage of such in an organized fashion.
• Ensures that all storage areas are labeled and maintained in good order.
• Monitors equipment condition and ensures that is it properly maintained.
• Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to multitask in a high-volume hospitality environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months to one year of experience in related field preferred.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
