Job description

Position Summary:

A Lead Housekeeper is primarily responsible for daily work orders, all University event set-ups and breakdowns and emergencies, under direct supervision.

Work Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides routine guidance to others regarding job duties
  • Distributes work orders and assignments to workforce
  • Reports any damage to housekeeping equipment or dangerous situations to a Manager or Supervisor
  • Completes work assignments and work orders in an appropriate manner
  • Covers housekeeping FTE’s assignments on sick or vacation as needed
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned

Experience & Educational Background:

  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years of prior leadership experience is required
  • Valid state issued driver’s license required

Skills & Competencies:

  • Demonstrate ability to effectively interact with people of diverse, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Must be able to work the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing, and kneeling while working
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with building/office occupants efficiently
  • Knowledge of proper work procedures and proper use of equipment
  • Must have excellent organizational, verbal, written communication skills and basic computer knowledge
  • Must be able to prioritize and delegate tasks
  • Must be able to physically lift boxes and bulk items such as furniture, supplies, etc.
  • Respirator Fit Testing may be required

Salary Range:

Grade 4A

As of 7/1/2025, 1199 New Hire rate:$26.23 and1199 One Year of Service rate$26.76
