Job summary

Rosie’s Gaming Emporium – Emporia in Emporia, VA is seeking a Lead Housekeeper to supervise the EVS operations and support our facilities leadership. The position runs Wednesday through Sunday, 2 PM to 10 PM, with an hourly pay rate of $16.00.

The role requires training EVS Attendants, coordinating tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety and labeling standards. High school diploma and basic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OSHA and Hazcom compliance; maintain MSD sheets; label and store chemicals safely.
• Coordinate receipt and distribution of equipment and supplies; keep storage areas organized.
• Monitor equipment condition and address issues within authority; escalate beyond scope as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Responsible for supervisory support to the facilities leadership team for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the EVS department.

The position is Wednesday through Sunday, from 2 PM to 10 PM.

Pay Rate is $16.00 hourly.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Supports and trains EVS Attendants in various tasks, ensuring the results meet and/or exceed company expectations.
• Works with Facilities Supervisor to create tasks and checklists.
• Holds department pre-shift briefings and delegate job assignments as per guidance of the Facilities Manager.
• Ensures operation is OSHA and Hazcom compliant, including maintenance of the departmental MSD Sheets.
• Ensure all equipment and chemicals are safely labeled, stored, and team members are fully educated on use/hazards.
• Receives equipment and supplies and coordinates distribution and storage of such in an organized fashion.
• Ensures that all storage areas are labeled and maintained in good order.
• Monitors equipment condition and ensures that is it properly maintained.
• Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Abilities

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months to one year of experience in related field preferred.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

• The Team Member will be required to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

• The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, flashing lights, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and guest volume.
