Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a motivated EVS Attendant for Colonial Downs Group properties in Virginia. You will be responsible for ensuring optimum property cleanliness and presentation, including carpets, windows, gaming machines, offices, restrooms, and outdoor areas, following established checklists and safety guidelines.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; 3–6 months of related experience preferred; must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of carpets, windows, gaming machines, offices, restrooms and outdoors as directed.
• Follow checklists and guidelines for efficient and clean operations.
• Attend pre-shift briefings and arrive on time.
• Adhere to OSHA and HazCom safety practices.
• Assist with receiving equipment and supplies and coordinating distribution.
• Maintain storage areas, equipment maintenance, and chemical labeling.
• Monitor equipment condition and use equipment correctly.
• Label and maintain storage areas.
• Resolve problems within scope and report beyond scope to supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring optimum property cleanliness and presentation.

Compensation: $15 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for general cleaning such as carpets, windows, gaming machines, offices, restrooms, and outdoors, as directed by the Lead EVS Attendant and/or Facilities Supervisor.
• Follows checklists, guidelines and for efficient and clean operation of assigned areas.
• Attends and participates in pre-shift briefings, arrive on time.
• Adheres to OSHA and Hazcom safe work practices.
• Assists with receiving equipment and supplies and coordinating distribution and storage.
• Assists in the maintenance of all storage areas, equipment maintenance, and chemical labeling.
• Monitors equipment condition and uses all equipment correctly to ensure that is it properly maintained.
• Ensures that all storage areas are labeled and maintained in good order.
• Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to multitask in a high-volume hospitality environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to six months of experience in related field preferred.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
