Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System is seeking a full-time Housekeeper at our Sparks, NV location (Northern Nevada Medical Center). The role involves cleaning patient rooms and hospital spaces, following infection-control practices, and supporting performance improvement activities.

The schedule is full-time, 40 hours per week, with benefits. Previous hospital housekeeping experience is preferred, but not required, and duties include maintaining cleanliness across hospital areas and proper waste

Qualifications

• One to three (1-3) months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
• Follows all infection control practices including hand hygiene techniques, standard precautions and isolation precautions.

Summary
