Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe patient rooms and hospital areas on a full-time 40-hour weekly schedule.

The role offers full benefits and requires 1–3 months related experience or training. You will follow infection prevention practices, use approved cleaning materials, and participate in performance improvement activities to support quality care in a busy acute care setting.

Qualifications

• 1-3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous hospital experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
• Follows all infection control practices including hand hygiene techniques, standard precautions and isolation precautions.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.

This Housekeeping opportunity is full time @ 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient flexible schedule. We are looking for a dynamic Housekeeper to clean all areas of the hospital according to policies and procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities.
