Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, Nevada, is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to clean all areas of the hospital in accordance with policies and procedures. The position supports a 40-hour workweek with full benefits and a convenient, flexible schedule.

As part of a dynamic team, you will participate in performance improvement activities and help maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• 1-3 months related experience and/or training.
• Previous hospital experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways.
• Follows infection control practices including hand hygiene and standard precautions.
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to the appropriate disposal area.
