This position is for second shift.

Hourly Rate: $12.50

Summary/Objective:

Provides daily housekeeping services to patients to ensure a safe, clean, and sanitary environment in accordance with laws, regulations, and facility guidelines.

Essential Functions:

• Provides daily housekeeping duties as assigned per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follows daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Cleans floors, including dust mopping, wet mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Cleans furnishings that are both moveable and stationary throughout the facility.
• Cleans fixtures including restrooms, light fixtures, water fountains, etc.
• Dusts, disinfects, and cleans horizontal surfaces throughout the facility.
• Removes trash and cleans/disinfects waste containers.
• Cleans and disinfects restrooms in both resident rooms and public spaces.
• Cleans public spaces including corridors, stairwells, elevators, waiting rooms, lobby, etc.
• Ensures equipment and work areas are clean as assigned by the manager.
• Adheres to federal, state, and facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Attends in-service educational programs.
• Follows safety codes during all duties.
• Understands and follows facility’s fire and disaster plans during drills and emergencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Housekeeping/EVS or designee.

Work Environment:

This role requires lifting up to 40 lbs, working throughout the facility, including resident rooms, and frequent bending, lifting, sitting, standing, and moving. It involves working with chemicals, exposure to odors, falls, burns, infectious diseases, waste, blood, and body fluids. Flexibility for weekends, holidays, and emergency hours is required.

Physical Demands:

Continuous standing and walking, reaching, stooping, bending, lifting, carrying, and working with supplies and equipment. Must be free from infections or diseases and able to lift up to 40 pounds.

This is an hourly role, with shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Education and Experience:

• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum one year of healthcare housekeeping experience preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning and infection prevention
