Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Flower Mound is seeking a Housekeeper - Environmental Services to join our hospital team. This full-time role is days only, 7:00 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m., with a rotating weekend schedule and opportunities to grow within a caring environment. You will empty trash, dispose of waste, clean and sanitize restrooms, dust and vacuum, and assist with bed making and patient discharge turnover as needed.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Six months related experience required.
• Experience in a hospital or hotel setting is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Empty, clean and relin e trash containers.
• Properly dispose of all waste including biohazardous materials.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, restocking dispensers; dust and vacuum floors.
• Bed making and turnover related to patient discharge or transfer as needed.
• Follow up on complaints and concerns from patients, family and staff.

Work hours: Full Time; Days, 7am-3:30pm; 40 hours per week, with a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend

Here's What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Six months related experience required
• Experience in a hospital or hotel setting is strongly preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is strongly preferred

What You Will Do

• Empty, clean and reline trash containers.
• Properly dispose of all waste including biohazardous materials.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, restocking dispensers. Dust hard surface floors/vacuum carpets. Sanitize and spot clean.
• Additional cleaning and bed making as required by patient discharge or transfer to include removal of clinical support equipment and supplies as well as soiled linen.
• Follows-up on complaints and concerns made by patients, family members and staff.
