The Bethel Resort and Suites in Bethel, ME is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for a full-time position. You will maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of service and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning tasks, reporting guest items left behind, and collaborating with team members to meet hotel standards. Must be able to work mornings or afternoons, weekends and holidays, and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not required.

Work Performed

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of the entire hotel to create a memorable and unique experience for our guests.

• Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing bed linens, restocking room supplies, vacuuming, and dusting
• Report and return any guest properties that were left behind
• Report cases of property damage to supervisor
• Work with a team of housekeepers on each shift
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
• Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest needs
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not required
• Continuous standing 90% of time
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. limited
• Pushing up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work independently
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• Hours required: Full Time 38hour shift Morning (AM); Afternoon (PM); Weekends/ Holidays; Must be flexible ; scheduled days and times may vary based on need
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays and have reliable transportation.

Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities

• Previous customer facing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Second language is a plus
