Job summary

FirstService Residential in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Janitor to maintain indoor and outdoor areas of our community. You will perform cleaning tasks, inspect work, and report issues to the Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Multilingual fluency desirable.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning/maintenance duties: sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs, window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains cleaning solutions per OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Operates new equipment safely and follows procedures.
• Maintains friendly, professional attitude.
• Ensures sanitary/cleaning supplies are adequate for assigned areas.
• Inspects areas daily and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Follows security procedures at all times.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Cleans restrooms: floors, dispensers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters; empties trash.
• Ensures equipment is maintained and used properly.
