Job summary

FirstService Residential in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Janitor to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks across indoor and outdoor areas. The role involves inspecting completed work and reporting to the Supervisor, with duties ranging from sweeping and mopping to trash disposal and window cleaning.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior custodial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains all cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash from premises and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
• Maintains friendly and professional attitude.
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
• Inspects all assigned areas daily and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Ensures security procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Ensures safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• As applicable, cleans restrooms: floors, dispensers, toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, counters, trash.
• Ability to quickly navigate the property/building to meet job functions.
