Job summary

The Chateau of Long Beach is actively seeking an entry‑level Housekeeper to support residents in an assisted living setting in Long Beach, CA. This full‑time role offers $17.50–$18.50 hourly, plus a $500 sign‑on bonus and no experience required.

You will follow laundry schedules, replenish supplies, maintain clean laundry rooms, and ensure sanitation in kitchens and common areas. This position requires a background check and TB clearance, with potential ongoing training and benefits offered by

Qualifications

• Clear DOJ FBI live scan background clearance mandated by licensing.
• Pass pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in housekeeping is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of operating a laundry machine and dryer.

Responsibilities

• Follow laundry schedule to thoroughly clean resident's linens.
• Replenish supplies in laundry rooms and common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry room in facility.
• Remove all excess waste and replace plastic liners.
• Clean, scrub, polish and sanitize all surfaces in common area bathrooms.
• Attend monthly in-services meeting and employee training.
• Prepare, cook and present food according to posted menus.
• Utilize established recipes and food production standards.
• Maintain quality food appearance and taste.
• Ensure proper sanitation of kitchen and safe food handling.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and productive working environment.
• Complete food orders and ensure food levels are well maintained.
• Additional duties as assigned by Administration.

The Chateau of Long Beach is an assisted living facility for the elderly community (ages 59+) located in Long Beach, CA. We are currently seeking a hardworking, entry-level, housekeeper to assist our residents and join our assisted living team.

Qualifications (non-negotiable):

• Able to clear DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing
• Able to pass pre employment physical and TB test clearance
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in housekeeping and preferred but not required
• Knowledge of operating a laundry machine and dryer

Job Description:
