Job summary

The Chateau of Long Beach in Long Beach, CA is hiring AM Caregivers/Med Techs for full-time shifts (6am-2:30pm) with an attractive $500 sign-on bonus and paid training. DOJ/FBI background clearance and health screenings are required, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, documenting care, coordinating with physicians, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a safe, supportive environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing.
• Able to pass pre employment physical and TB test clearance.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred.
• Full-Time and Part-Time positions available in various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assists with daily assignments, ensuring completion in assistance with resident Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Progressive documentation and communication with physician and /or medical professional.
• Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
• Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regards to reducing of pain while promoting engagement and independence.
• Maintains good composure during emergencies and maintains a safe work environment
• Communicates clearly, calmly and effectively with residents, families and Wellness Coordinator with any changes or resident concerns
• Complete any outstanding paperwork for the day including filing, logging medication and centrally stored record
• Additional duties as assigned by Administration

AM Shifts (6am-230pm) Tuesday-Saturday

The Chateau of Long Beach is a large assisted living facility for the elderly community (ages 59+) located in Long Beach, CA. We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers and Medication Technicians who have the passion to help the elderly and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
