Job summary

The Chateau of Long Beach is seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers and medication technicians to support elderly residents in a large assisted living facility in Long Beach, CA. The role offers full-time and part-time positions with AM, PM, and NOC shifts, and a $500 sign-on bonus with training provided.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, documenting care, coordinating appointments, and communicating with medical staff.

Qualifications

• DOJ/FBI background clearance required
• Pre-employment physical and TB test clearance required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Caregiving and medical administration experience preferred
• Full-Time and Part-Time positions available in multiple shifts

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily tasks and ADLs for residents
• Provide ethical, respectful care to residents
• Document progress and communicate with physicians or medical staff
• Schedule resident doctor’s appointments
• Help reduce resident pain and promote engagement and independence
• Maintain composure during emergencies and ensure a safe environment
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and Wellness Coordinator about changes or concerns
• Complete daily paperwork including medication logs and central records
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Administration

Salary Range: $17.50 To $19.00 Hourly

Schedule Needed:

AM Shifts (Sun-Thurs, 6am-230pm)

PM Shifts (Tues-Sat, 2pm-10:30pm)

NOC Shift (10pm-6:30am)

The Chateau of Long Beach is a large assisted living facility for the elderly community (ages 59+) located in Long Beach, CA. We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers and Medication Technicians who have the passion to help the elderly and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications (non-negotiable):

• Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing
• Able to pass pre employment physical and TB test clearance
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred
• Full-Time and Part-Time positions available in various shifts

Job Description:

• Assists with daily assignments, ensuring completion in assistance with resident Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Progressive documentation and communication with physician and /or medical professional.
• Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
• Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regards to reducing of pain while promoting engagement and independence.
• Maintains good composure during emergencies and maintains a safe work environment
• Communicates clearly, calmly and effectively with residents, families and Wellness Coordinator with any changes or resident concerns
• Complete any outstanding paperwork for the day including filing, logging medication and centrally stored record
• Additional duties as assigned by Administration
