Job summary

Hunt Military Communities is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to clean residential and common areas across our community in Virginia Beach. The role involves thorough cleaning of homes, offices, clubhouses, and pool facilities, with emphasis on maintaining attractive, sanitary spaces.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or GED, 1–3 years in cleaning or custodial work, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Physical work and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of solid previous work history required.
• Experience in cleaning facilities is preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors, hallways, glass, and stairways.
• Spot cleans walls for finger and scuff marks.
• Waxes floors monthly where applicable.
• Empties trash and recycling bins.
• Cleans bathrooms including toilets, sinks, counters, showers, and bathtubs.
• Cleans windows, doors, walls, and fixtures.
• Dusts and makes beds; handles linens in living areas.
• Inspects vacant units for cleanliness and odor.
• Disinfects and sanitizes areas needing special attention.
• Inform supervisor of vandalism or repairs in common areas.
• Cleans offices, centers, models, theater, conference rooms, playrooms, fitness rooms, pool facilities, leasing office, and small conference rooms.
