Job summary

Hunt Military Communities is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to clean homes, offices, clubhouses, laundry rooms, and pool areas in the Norfolk/Hampton Roads area. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing to maintain attractive, odor-free spaces.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• 1-3 years of solid previous work history required.
• Experience in cleaning facilities or housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as working in a team.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Reliable and punctual attendance is essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors, hallways, glass, and stairways.
• Spot cleans walls for finger and scuff marks.
• Waxes floors monthly as applicable.
• Empties all trash receptacles and recycling bins.
• Fully cleans all bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, countertops, showers, and bathtubs.
• Cleans windows, doors, walls, wall vents, receptacle/switch plates, cabinets, appliances, and window coverings.
• Dusts, makes beds, washes linens, organizes living areas.
• Cleans trash and debris from parking lot and entranceway.
• Regularly inspects vacant units to ensure cleanliness and odorless conditions.
• Disinfects and sanitizes areas as needed.
• Inform supervisor of vandalism, damage, or repairs required in common areas.
• Cleans offices, centers, models, theater, and other facilities as applicable.
• Cleans exterior windows and light fixtures and sets trash/recycle bins out for collection.
